About
I'm a graduate student in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, advised by Dr. Rei Safavi-Naini at the ESPRI Lab. My work sits at the intersection of distributed systems, applied cryptography, and production AI infrastructure. I like building things that are provably correct and actually run in production.
Expected graduation: Summer 2026. Open to full-time software engineering and applied research roles.
Experience
-
Research Engineer,
Aspire Technology Inc.
· Jan 2024 – Mar 2025
Built a BESS (battery energy storage) optimization engine in Python + Gurobi MILP for a 2 MW / 3.8 MWh liquid-cooling C&I site. Identified configurations that reduced ROI payback from 9 to 5 years, and co-designed a multi-layer dispatch architecture integrated into the production EMS.
-
Research Assistant,
ESPRI Lab, University of Calgary
· Sept 2021 – Present
Information-theoretic security, applied cryptography, IoT privacy. Building probabilistic simulation frameworks and cryptographic protocol prototypes.
-
Teaching Assistant,
University of Calgary
· Sept 2021 – Present
Information Theory, Data Structures & Algorithms, Security & Privacy. Mentored 150+ students. TA Recognition List honoree.
Selected Projects
-
tinyclaw-infra
· 2026 – Present
Production infrastructure layer for TinyClaw (3.5K+ stars, open-source multi-agent AI runtime). Provides persistent message delivery (Redis Streams), containerized deployment (Docker), observability, and access-controlled multi-agent communication for unattended 24/7 operation. Designed in collaboration with upstream maintainers.
-
Secure Multipath Transmission
· 2023 – Present
Fault-tolerant secure multipath framework combining threshold secret sharing with Reed–Solomon error correction; configurable ≥95% reliability SLO. DP-based combinatorial search over 106+ candidates in under 40 s; end-to-end validated by 100K-trial Monte Carlo simulation (< 0.01 error). Parameter sweeps parallelized on Slurm HPC.
-
Privacy-Preserving IoT Onboarding
· 2025
Zero-touch provisioning prototype compatible with Google Enrollment Service for smart-building IoT. Five cryptographic modules (BBS Group Signatures, EC-ElGamal, EC-VRF, Schnorr ZKP, ECDSA) with sub-20 ms end-to-end token operations under a 1,000-iteration benchmarking harness.
Publications
- First-authored paper on secure multipath transmission (thesis, in preparation), 2026.
